Mohit Malik Recalls Wife Aditi's Pregnancy Announcement: 'I Thought She Is Covid Positive'

Television's beloved couple Mohit Malik and Aditi Shirwaikar Malik shared the fun story of their pregnancy announcement.

New Delhi: Television duo Mohit Malik and Aditi Shirwaikar Malik radiate love and laughter in their latest conversation. They joined Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol on their YouTube channel 'Couple Of Things' to share snippets of their journey. Amidst narrating their love story, Mohit and Aditi also lightened the mood with a humorous anecdote about Aditi's pregnancy announcement over a phone call.

Married since December 1, 2010, the couple welcomed their first child, Ekbir, on April 27, 2021. Aditi Malik mentioned that Ekbir came ‘unplanned’. She shared, “We were planning first but after my father's cancer diagnosis, Mohit suggested to take it easy, let's take another year.”

She also shared that her pregnancy journey was pretty smooth despite the fact that it was a late pregnancy. She said, “It was a late pregnancy but it was as smooth as one can ask for it.”

Mohit Malik Shared His Reaction to Wife Aditi’s Pregnancy

Mohit reminisced about the time his wife broke the news that she was pregnant. He said, “She called me up when I was shooting. I still remember I came out of the studio to talk and she said ‘I am positive’. I said what Covid positive? What has happened? She said I am positive, understand dumbo. Then I said, oh God, are you serious?”

Aditi added that Mohit didn't believe it was true until she got her first sonography done.

Recalling the moment Aditi informed Mohit of her pregnancy, Mohit said, “I also remember that somewhere far away there was sunlight and there were clouds. The moment she told me I was positive, somewhere there was thunder.”

Mohit and Aditi have completed 14 years together. The couple met on the set of 'Miilee' in 2005.
