Farheen, an actress who rose to fame in the 90s, became an overnight sensation following the release of the 1992 film ‘Jaan Tere Naam’. The movie featured a hit song titled "First Time Dekha Tumhe," which was picturised on her and Ronit Roy. The actor left acting at the height of her career to marry Indian cricketer Manoj Prabhakar.
Farheen's film career
Upon her entry into Bollywood, Farheen drew comparisons to superstar Madhuri Dixit due to their striking resemblance. She also starred as Akshay Kumar’s sister in ‘Sainik’. Farheen found success in the South Indian film industry as well. According to media reports, Farheen was offered the role played by Shilpa Shetty in the film Baazigar. However, instead of choosing the role opposite Shah Rukh Khan, she opted to sign a film with Kamal Haasan titled 'Kalaignan'.
Marrying Manoj Prabhakar
Farheen chose to leave acting at the height of her career to marry Indian cricketer Manoj Prabhakar. Growing up in a broken family, Farheen was determined to have a successful marriage, which she cited as the main reason for her departure from the film industry to focus entirely on her family. She relocated to Delhi after marriage. The couple has two sons, Raahil and Manavansh.
In the interview, Farheen shared, “I never thought about settling down so quickly by getting married. However, once I was married, children and family became my priority.” She admitted that if she had stayed in Mumbai, she might have remained active in the glamour world.
Farheen's business venture
After moving to Delhi, Farheen channeled her creativity into a successful business venture - Naturence Herbals, an organic skincare line. She is currently the director of the company. Farheen and Prabhakar also own a homestay in Nainital named Celebrity Crest which is a luxury villa.
Farheen is quite active on Instagram and regularly posts videos and photos with her followers.
Farheen also made her comeback in 2023 film ‘Diplomat’ starring John Abraham and Kumud Mishra.
