New Delhi: Actor Swara Bhasker, who got married to politician Fahad Ahmad this year, announced her pregnancy on Tuesday. The actor took to Twitter and posted a picture with her husband and announced the news to her followers.
She wrote, “Sometimes all your prayers are answered all together! Blessed, grateful, excited (and clueless! ) as we step into a whole new world! @FahadZirarAhmad #comingsoon #Family #Newarrival #gratitude #OctoberBaby”
As per her tweet, it seems their baby is due in October.
Swara and Fahad registered their wedding in court under the Special Marriage Act in February. The actor announced about her marriage to Ahmad on social media with a video of the couple. They first met in January 2020 during Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest. The friendship then eventually turned into love.
“Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours!” Bhasker had written on social media while announcing her marriage.
Later in March, the couple had a series of celebrations with ceremonies, such as mehendi, sangeet and qawwali night events. They also hosted receptions in Delhi, Mumbai and Fahad's hometown Bareli.
In April, the couple celebrated their first Eid as husband and wife. Swara took to Twitter to share her pictures of their first Eid celebration. The couple twinned in pink outfits. The actress wore a light pink and powder blue sharara. Fahad chose a baby pink kurta with ivory pajamas. Swara captioned it: "Pehli Eid (First Eid) #NewBeginnings #EidMubarak2023 @FahadZirarAhmad."
