Actor Sushmita Sen celebrated 30 years of winning the Miss Universe crown as she shared a post on Instagram. On Tuesday, the actor posted an old photo and a long note on social media. Sushmita Sen became the first Indian to bag the Miss Universe title on May 21, 1994.

In her recent post, Sushmita was seen holding a toddler in her arms and smiling at her. The actor donned a white dress and sash. Sharing the throwback photo, Sushmita wrote, "This little girl, who I met in an orphanage, taught an 18 yr old me, life’s most innocent yet profound lessons, ones that I live by to this day. This captured moment is 30 yrs old today as is India’s first-ever Victory at Miss Universe!!!"
Sushmita added, "What a journey it’s been & continues to be….Thank you India for always being my greatest identity & strength!! Thank you Philippines for the unending love & belonging…Three decades & counting!! #mahalkita. I remember & celebrate your grace my beautiful @carogomezfilm #teamo."

After Sushmita, the Miss Universe title was won by Yukta Mookhey, Lara Dutta, and most recently, Harnaaz Sandhu.

On the acting front, Sushmita Sen was last seen in the crime series ‘Aarya - Antim Vaar’. The series released on Disney+ Hotstar. ‘Aarya’ also starred Ila Arun, Sikandar Kher, Indraneil Sengupta, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Shweta Pasricha, Viren Vazirani, Vikas Kumar, Maya Sarao, and Pratyaksh Panwar amongst others.
