New Delhi: 'Tum Kya Mile', the first song from 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' was released today. Before the launch of the romantic number, Karan Johar had shared a still from the song and shared a backstory about the same. Karan had written on Instagram that the song was a tribute to his guru and legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra and that he was apologetic for having Alia Bhatt shoot for the song in freezing cold soon after the birth of her daughter Raha Kapoor. Now, it seems BJP leader and Union Minister of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs has her own take on the song.
'Tum Kya Mile' has been crooned by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam. The song as dedicated to Yash Chopra is the true-blue tribute to the legend. In it, we see Alia in chiffon sarees in freezing cold dancing with Ranveer Singh, who plays Rocky in the film.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar's post on the song earlier in the day said, "In a few hours #tumkyamile will be yours….I remember at the very onset my instinct was that I wanted to film a love song that would unabashadely pay homage to my guru Yash Chopra…. The thinking evolved mind would say “you can’t match it or even dare to emulate it “ but the fan boy and the ardent lover of snow , chiffons, the stunning locations of Kashmir and sheer romance got the better of me…Pritam Dada and I yearned for a song for the ages from the ages and it had it be unapologetic or it wouldn’t be true …"
