When asked if she still stands by her decision to never get married, Shruti replied, "Yes, I love relationships, I love romance. I love being in relationships but I am afraid of getting attached to someone so much. But I can never say never. Koi aa gaya anmol ratan and mera… (If some special someone comes…) But I don’t see it."
Shruti attributed her hesitation towards marriage to her own personal feelings, rather than any negative experiences. "I think it's just me. Because I have seen some of the most beautiful marriages in my friend circle. Lovely, successful, wonderful marriages of my friends, my age group people. So no, I think it is just a Shruti thing."

Shruti and Santanu's relationship reportedly began on social media, where they bonded over their shared interests in art, music, and cinema. After nearly four years together, they parted ways amicably in March 2024.
When asked about her relationship status on social media, Shruti confirmed the breakup, saying, "I don’t enjoy answering these questions. But, I am entirely single, unwilling to mingle, only working and enjoying my life. Bye. Enough?"

On the professional front, Shruti is set to star in Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming action thriller, Coolie, alongside Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, and other notable actors. The film is scheduled to release in 2025.
