New Delhi: Shreyas Talpade's wife has now said in a statement that the actor is "stable," hours after the actor suffered a heart attack. The actor is doing good and making a full recovery, according to a statement released by Deepti Shreyas Talpade on Friday morning. Shreyas would be released in a few days, she also mentioned.

Deepti said that the quick response and great care given by the medical staff had been crucial at this period.

“We kindly request respect for our privacy as he continues his recovery. Your unwavering support has been a tremendous source of strength for both of us,” she added.

On Thursday evening, Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack. The 47-year-old actor was apparently in Mumbai for the day filming his next film. But when he returned home, he felt unwell and complained of being uneasy. After being taken to the hospital, Talpade had an angioplasty.

“He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way,” a source told Hindustan Times.

Over a two-decade career, Shreyas Talpade has starred in more than 45 movies. For his roles in Hindi and Marathi films, Talpade has received a great deal of praise from critics and audiences alike.

Shreyas Talpade reportedly spent the day filming Welcome 3. In addition to Talpade, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Tushar Kapoor have major roles in the movie. The third installment of Welcome, titled 'Welcome To The Jungle', will also feature Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. The Welcome franchise began with the release of its first two movies in 2007 and 2015, respectively. On Christmas 2024, Welcome 3 will be released.
