New Delhi: In a heartfelt gesture, Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty Kundra expressed her deep appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his pivotal role in the construction of the historic Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. She lauded PM Modi's leadership and his significant contribution to reshaping history.
Addressing PM Modi in Hindi, Shilpa Shetty Kundra's message roughly translates to, "While some merely read history, others have the extraordinary ability to rewrite it, as you have done.”
She mentioned the Pran Pratishtha as a historical occasion and wrote, “You have rewritten the 500-year-old history of the Ram Janmabhoomi. Heartfelt gratitude for this. Your name will forever be synonymous with Lord Shri Ram for accomplishing this sacred feat."
The official social media handle of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Maharashtra acknowledged Shilpa's sentiments by sharing an image of her letter, highlighting the significance of her appreciation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Prabhu Shri Ram at the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. Addressing the esteemed guests present, PM Modi emphasised that the unveiling of the Ram Lalla idol marks not just a victory following years of effort but also a moment of profound humility.
The ceremony, held on January 22, was attended by numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Anupam Kher, Vivek Oberoi, Hema Malini, Rohit Shetty, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Rajkumar Hirani, among others. Along with them, the occasion was graced by the presence of business magnates Ambani and Birla, as well as notable players such as Sachin Tendulkar and Mitali Raj, among many others.
