Raj Kundra Takes The Stage As Stand-Up Comic, Calls Himself 'Shilpa Ka Pati'
Raj Kundra was detained on in July by the Mumbai Police for allegedly publishing and distributing pornographic material.
New Delhi: Raj Kundra decided to try a new endeavour, stand-up comedy, after gaining popularity for his appearances in masks. During his act, the businessman was seen dressed up in a mask and calling himself 'Shilpa Ka Pati, and even 'Sasta Kanye West'.
Raj Kundra was detained on July 19, 2021, by the Mumbai Police for allegedly publishing and distributing pornographic material using the Hotshots app. Since being released on bail, Raj has maintained a low profile. Kundra was spotted in public for the first time after being extensively photographed by paps while wearing quirky masks. The businessman hasn't yet uploaded a video showing his entire performance.
He opens by urging that anyone who could be offended by sexual jokes leave the room at the beginning of the brief footage.

Despite rumours, Raj Kundra will not have a leading role in the play, which is based on his time spent behind bars. The still-untitled movie will follow Kundra through every step of her time in Arthur Jail, from the initial reports of the accusations to the media coverage, her time inside jail to her release on bond. It was also speculated that Kundra, Shilpa Shetty's husband, will make his acting debut with the film.
“The project is not based on the controversy or what led to it. The project will trace his time in Arthur Road Jail, and the interactions he had inside the prison, with focus on his takeaways,” the source Hindustan Times.
As per the report, Shilpa won't be a star in the production, an insider close to the project claims. Early in the next year, the project is expected to begin.
