New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan is back and better than ever this year. ‘Pathaan’, released earlier this year, marked his return to the spotlight after an absence of over five years after the release of ‘Zero’ in 2018. His passionate fan base, therefore, went into a frenzy as they crowded to theatres to see his actioner ‘Pathaan’. His second film of the year 'Jawan' is quickly approaching 700 crores at the worldwide box office. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone all have important parts in the new Shah Rukh Khan film.
Almost two weeks after the film's debut, the filmmakers organised a post-release event at which SRK revealed a moving story about his kids Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, in which they urged him to put in his all to his next five films so that his younger son, AbRam, could feel the celebrity in the air.
Shah Rukh discussed his anxiety about the gap and how his son Aryan helped him put him at ease. SRK recalled, “My elder son told me, ‘we (Aryan and Suhana) know when we were growing up what stardom in the air feels like because your films were big hits, but this little one knows you are a star but has never felt it in the air. So for the next five films, please work very hard and make him feel it in the air’.”
The actor said that his perspective on films has shifted. He said, “I am working harder than I have worked in the last 29 years. I will keep working hard because now I feel happy when people like the film. I have become more of a gentler and selfless actor than I was. Earlier I was selfish and focussed on my role. Now I just want to make people happy.”
Fans can't wait to witness the Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunki’, which will premiere this Christmas.
