New Delhi: Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Somy Ali has revealed new information about the causes of the turbulent history of Salman and Sangeeta Bijlani's engagement. It turns out that Somy Ali had a big influence on how their engagement ended.

Somy revealed in an interview with Shubhankar Mishra that "the wedding cards were printed, but Sangeeta caught Salman in my flat red-handed. I experienced the same thing that Salman did to Sangeeta. This is known as karma, and as I grew older, I realised what it was."

In 1986, Salman and Sangeeta began dating. Before they made the decision to get married, the two had been in a committed relationship for eight years. In 1994, they planned an engagement celebration as they were set to tie the knot. They called off the wedding, though, just a few days before it was scheduled.

Salman revealed that he was almost on the verge of getting married to Sangeeta, during his appearance on Koffee With Karan. He said, "There was a time that I really wanted to get married and then it just didn’t work out. I have always come so close. People have got cold feet. ‘Theek hai, boyfriend, isko zindagi bhar jhelna padega kya (They think I am a good boyfriend but it’s difficult to tolerate me for the rest of their lives).’ With Sangeeta, even the cards and all were printed."

When Karan asked if the wedding was off as she caught him, the actor initially tried to avoid the subject before he finally said, "Yeah, kind of." I get caught, he continued. I'm an idiot. Then, he abruptly changed the subject and asked, "What are you talking about?

Somy Ali has previously opened up about her experiences on Instagram, sharing information of how she was subjected to harassment by a well-known actor and had no support from the business.

On the other hand, Salman and Sangeeta continue to be close friends and are frequently photographed together at events.
