The box office performance of Karan Johar's directorial effort has been consistent. The RRKPK crew celebrated their recent success with a press conference and the debut of their new single ‘Kudmayi’ on Thursday. Alia revealed her personal connection to the song. The video for ‘Kudmayi’ was filmed by Alia only four days after her real wedding with Ranbir Kapoor. The song's depiction of the varmala ceremony brought back memories for her.
During the press conference of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, Alia Bhatt shared an interesting tale from her wedding day. She revealed an additional link between her on-screen and off-screen varmalas with Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. Alia remembered this identical moment from her own varmala with Ranbir when Ranveer Singh bend down on his knees.
Alia said: “The moment which you see in the song jab Ranveer niche jata hai put his head like that and lets me put the varmala on him woh actually mere sath hua tha. Joh pehle Ranveer ko uthaya tha mai dekh rahi hu ki mujhe koi nahi utha raha. Then he went down on his knees and then I put the Varmala on him. That was twice, kaafi close hogaya sab kuch."
