New Delhi: The Kapoors are known for bringing the entire Bollywood under one roof during their family weddings. Riddhima Kapoor's wedding to her longtime beau Bharat Sahni was nothing different. Riddhima Kapoor is the daughter of late actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.


Riddhima Kapoor shares SRK, Salman Khan and Sridevi performed at her Sangeet ceremony


Riddhima and Bharat's wedding, that took place nearly two decades ago in 2006, was nothing short of a Karan Johar directed Bollywood film. During a recent interview with Galatta India, the couple shared how their Sangeet ceremony, attended by popular celebrities who also performed, was one of the most iconic events. Ridhima shared that Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Sridevi graced the couple's Sangeet ceremony with their stellar performances, courtesy their relationship with her actor father Rishi Kapoor.


Recalling the memorable moment and sharing details about the same, Riddhima said, "Sridevi ji performed, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh performed, everyone performed actually but they did it because of dad, because of his goodwill and his love. They did it on their own and it was fun. Everyone had a blast. All the stars who performed they did it dil se, it was like ghar ki baat, like family."


 






When Salman Khan turned bartender at Riddhima Kapoor's wedding


Riddhima Kapoor made an appearance with brother Ranbir Kapoor and mom Neetu Kapoor on Kapil Sharma's comedy show 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' on Netflix. During the episode, Ranbir disclosed Riddhima's fascination for Salman Khan and how she used to have the actor's posters in her room. 


Show host Kapil revealed that Salman Khan served as bartender at Ridhima's wedding. Relating the hilarious anecdote, Neetu Kapoor said, "Salman said I will be the bartender. I said theek hai. Salman Khan serving liquor to everybody right. So he went. Then the waiters came and told us that the liquor is getting over. Rishi ji was like, ‘I got so much. How is it over?’ Then we saw that the guests were throwing their liquor and asking Salman to pour more. Everybody wanted to ask for a drink because it was Salman Khan behind the bar. Then Rishi ji went and told Salman, ‘Yaar tu nikal vaha se (Come out from there)’."

During the interview, Riddhima also shared details about how she met her husband Bharat Sahni and things moved from friendship to dating with the couple eventually getting married in 2006.


Sharing her parents' reaction on meeting Bharat, Riddhima said, "My mom was very chilled out like I did tell my mom about him. Ranbir actually I think I told Ranbir before my mom and I think Ranbir couldn't keep anything in his stomach now he went and told my mom if I remember clearly he told Mom and then Mom obviously asked me and I never hide anything from her you know um I did tell Mom about him and she was like oh you know really she was happy but again she wanted to know who he is and where he's from and you know all of those things we didn't tell my dad at that time uh because I didn't know how he'd react but my mom knew everything and Ranbir did."


Bharat recalled his first encounter with Rishi Kapoor and shared how he was intimidated by the legendary actor. He said, "I was definitely intimidated obviously because he's a legend and you know like we all uh grew up watching him and you know it wasn't easy on me yeah you know like to break the ice with him."
