Ranbir Kapoor 'Has No Insecurities', Bobby Deol Reveals About His Animal Co-Star 'Dragged Me...'

Despite limited screen time in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film 'Animal', Bobby Deol was actively seen in all promotions along with Ranbir Kapoor.

New Delhi: Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor have been creating waves with their recently released film 'Animal'. Despite limited screen time in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film 'Animal', Bobby Deol was actively seen in all promotions along with Ranbir Kapoor.

In the film, Bobby Deol plays the role of Abrar, a mute and volatile polyamorist who does not think twice before killing those who pose a threat to his family.

Recently, Bobby Deol spoke with News 18 Showsha and lauded Ranbir Kapoor for not being an 'insecure' star and thanked him for making him a part of 'Animal' promotions.

Speaking about Ranbir, Bobby Deol told the publication, "Ranbir’s an amazing guy. I love him. I’ve worked with a lot of actors. But he gave me a lot of respect. He’s a superstar and despite that, he dragged me with him everywhere he went to promote the film. No one does that. Everybody just wants to steal the limelight. But he’s not like that. He has no insecurities.”

“Despite playing arch nemesis in the film, he shared that the two got along really well during the shoot. "He’s a gem of a guy. What’s similar between us is that we’re both very family-oriented. We both come from film families and we know what it is to be a part of the industry. That connected us."

Bobby Deol also spoke about the much discussed fight sequence in 'Animal'. In the film, Ranbir and Bobby have a face-off that has now become the highlight of the film. Speaking about the same, Bobby Deol said, "We rehearsed for 7-8 days in Bombay before we went to England. We had to rehearse a lot because it had to look very natural. When there’s a fight scene, there are objects around you that you can use to hit each other. Here, there was nothing apart from raw power.”

"It’s difficult to do action sequences in cold weather, fighting, falling but we enjoyed every minute of it. Even while shooting, everybody in the unit said that they didn’t know who to root for. I’m glad that something good came out of the tough situation.” He added.

Bobby Deol also remarked that shooting for this particular portion of the film made him a bigger Ranbir fan. "I’m a big fan of Ranbir. He’s my favourite actor and he’s the best. I was completely mesmerised by him. We were so much in sync. We shared a chemistry that was so natural and magical. I loved every moment." Bobby Deol added.

Meanwhile, Bobby Deol has already collected Rs. 480 cr at the box office.
