Rakul Preet Singh Shares His Dad Asked Jackky Bhagnani 'What's Your Plan With My Daughter' After 4-5 Months Of Dating

Rakul Preet Singh recently shared a hilarious story about her dad's frank discussion with her now-husband Jackky Bhagnani.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh recently shared a hilarious story about her dad's frank discussion with her now-husband Jackky Bhagnani, who was her boyfriend at the time. After just a few months of dating, Rakul's father had a direct question for Jackky that everyone was curious about: "What's your plan with my daughter?" In a recent podcast, Rakul also discussed her love story with Jackky in detail. 

During an appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, Rakul Preet Singh spoke about the time when Jackky Bhagnani accompanied her to Delhi for his mother’s birthday and what happened after that. 

The actress shared, “I told my dad don't ask any odd questions. The first time a guy is coming to your house, don't ask him strict questions. I told my mom, ‘Please tell papa to just treat him like a normal boy. Like how my brother gets his girlfriends, just treat him like a normal guy who's coming home for lunch.’ Dad being a dad. While we were having lunch, he said 'What's your plan?' He (Jackky Bhagnani) said right now we're doing this film, we're doing this. My dad said, ‘No no work and all is ok. What's your plan with my daughter?’”

Rakul added, “I was shocked. I told you not to ask this question and Jackky’s answer was, ‘I am ready. She is not ready. I can marry her tomorrow but she needs time. So whenever she is ready. So, the boy won brownie points.”

She shared that she was shocked to hear Jackky’s answer. 

Rakul Preet Singh On Being Single For 5 Years Before Meeting Jackky Bhagnani

During the same conversation, Rakul disclosed that she was single for five years before meeting her husband Jackky Bhagnani. "I was not in the mind space. For me, my work was a priority and I felt that I didn't have to think about anything else right now. I have to put my blinders on and work. I was in the work zone. I was here and I didn't want anybody stopping me to be here,” the actress said.

She added, “I was not that girl who thought that this guy was so hot. My DNA is never been that. In the first few years when I was in Telugu, I was almost doing five to six films a year, I did not have time.”

For the unversed, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani tied the knot on February 21.

Regarding her work life, Rakul Preet is said to be joining Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan for their next film ‘De De Pyaar De 2’.
