New Delhi: Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is scheduled to see Rajinikanth's newest smash hit, ‘Jailer,’ in theatres. Given the film's proven financial success, Rajinikanth's choice to see 'Jailer' with Yogi Adityanath is a welcome surprise. The arrival of the Tamil superstar, who has dominated audiences for decades, has sparked excitement among moviegoers in Lucknow. The actor is said to be making a stop in Lucknow at certain religious sites.

Rajinikanth told the news agency ANI, “Yes, I am going to watch my film (Jailer) with him.” This was in response to a question about his forthcoming meeting with the CM. He also said, "Sab bhagwan ki dua hai (It's a blessing from God)," in reference to the overwhelmingly positive reception ‘Jailer’ had received.

Earlier, Rajinikanth visited Ranchi. On Friday, he offered his prayers to the state's Chhinnamasta temple (Rajrappa). He meditated for one hour at the Yagoda ashram near Ranchi. The next stop was the Raj Bhavan, where he met with the governor of Jharkhand, C P Radhakrishnan.

About Jailer

After a two-year hiatus, Rajinikanth is back in theatres with the Tamil film ‘Jailer’. The film features Rajinikanth as a senior jailor guard on the trail of a ruthless gang leader.

South Indians were so excited about the release of 'Jailer' on August 10 that several businesses in Tamil Nadu closed so that workers could go see it on opening day. Sun Pictures reports that the film, which also stars Tamannaah and Jackie Shroff, has made around 375 crore in its first week of release globally.

'Kaavaalaa', featured in the film, has become a top hit. And many Instagram users are still using it to make dancing Reels, which is another indicator of its popularity. Tamannaah Bhatia appears in a sultry new look for this song.
