New Delhi: Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, talked openly about her encounters with trolls. While speaking to the audience at a session called "Beyond the Legacy: Gen Z for a Just and Equal India" during the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024, she acknowledged the advantages and disadvantages of social media and expressed her conflicted opinions about it.


Navya Naveli emphasised the power of social media to start meaningful discussions and let people tell their own experiences. She stated her intention to use social media for constructive purposes, stating, "Social media has been a great platform because it’s given a lot of people a voice, a lot of people who previously might not have that kind of reach.” 


Navya Naveli on Getting Into IIM


As she progressed through her academic journey, Navya voiced her appreciation for attending IIM Ahmedabad. “India has some of the finest institutions in the world, and being a part of IIM Ahmedabad is incredible. I feel fortunate to receive higher education under the guidance of some of the finest professors in the world,” she said.

Navya Naveli on Trolls


Navya highlighted how constructive criticism aided her professional and personal development. She also stressed the need for public feedback. 


Navya said, "If I consider myself to be working for people, I don’t think I can be offended by what they say. It’s essential for me to look at feedback; it will only make me a better person, a better entrepreneur, and a better Indian. I accept that I come from a very different lived reality. People will have something to say about that. However, she remains focused on her goals and ambitions, emphasising that her responsibility is to herself and her work. I don’t give a lot of thought to what people say negatively; I use it to do the best I can do in my journey.”
