New Delhi: Veteran actor Moushumi Chatterjee recently made an appearance on the popular celebrity chat show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' and revealed her vivacious side to the audience. The actor on the show related a number of experiences from her time spent actively working in the film industry. She related an event that happened on the Manzil set, where she was working alongside Amitabh Bachchan. She demonstrated how to get Bachchan's attention with the camera by stepping aside so that it could follow her and ignore him.

At the time of the chart-topping "Rimjhim Gire Saawan" shoot, Chatterjee and Bachchan had to withstand the actual rain. Bachchan had to ensure that he moved more slowly than Chatterjee because of their disparity in height.

Recalling the time when Moushumi shot the popular song with Amitabh Bachchan, she said, "He is a very intelligent man. He knew that he has to match up with me. So, he was taking small steps. And when I would realise that I have been left behind, I will go a little farther as then the camera would follow me and leave Bachchan."

The actress also mentioned how it was not an easy task to shoot in the heavy rains in the absence of waterproof make-up. Relating one funny incident from the shoot, Moushumi Chatterjee said, "We faced the real rains in Mumbai. It was Basu Chatterjee’s film and I remember it even today, waterproof liners were not there back then. So, after a shot, I saw everyone laughing, including the hero. My liner had smudged in the rain and had mixed with the blush of my cheeks. Also, after going home, I noticed all the green colour of my saree got imprinted on my body after getting drenched in rain for so long.”

Moushumi Chatterjee revealed that the heavy monsoon rains made it almost impossible to hear anything and they got signals with the help of a handkerchief. "The rain was so fierce, we couldn’t even hear the music. They showed us something like a handkerchief, which meant the song started. Then, they signalled ‘cut’ with the same handkerchief," she said.

Despite the rain song becoming a chartbuster and an all time favourite, Moushumi Chatterjee said that she is not a big fan of the Mumbai rains as it brings the city to a halt within a few hours of heavy downpour.
