New Delhi: South superstar Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar’s son Gautam Ghattamaneni turned 17 on Thursday (August 31). The couple took to social media to wish their son on his birthday. 


Sharing a picture of Gautam, Mahesh Babu wrote: “Happy 17, my champ!! May each step forward lead you to your goal! Keep reaching for the stars. Love you so so much @gautamghattamaneni.”  




Namrata commented: “So so much love for you today and everyday.” 


Namrata while sharing Gautam’s picture also mentioned that this birthday is special as Gautam will fly abroad for his studies next year.   


Namrata wrote: “Happy happy birthday GG. You make me so proud each passing year. Can’t wait to see you soar high up… And achieve all that you ever dreamed of... This birthday will be a special one for us as a family as you will fly away next year so am going to make the most of it with my little big man @gautamghattamaneni.” 




Mahesh Babu recently celebrated his 48th birthday in Scotland with his family. Mahesh and Namrata both shared pictures from their Scotland trip. 




On the work front, Mahesh, who is known as Prince by his fans,  will now be seen in Guntur Kaaram. A new poster of the film was unveiled on his birthday.  


Helmed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film is touted to be an action drama which stars Mahesh, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakashraj and Sunil. It is slated to hit theatres on January 13.  


Mahesh is the younger son of veteran Telugu actor Krishna, he made his debut as a child artist in a cameo role in Needa (1979), at the age of four and acted in eight other films as a child artist.  


He made his debut as a lead actor with Rajakumarudu. He was later seen in films such as Muari, Okkadu, Athadu, Pokiri, Dookudu, Businnessman,  Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013), Srimanthudu (2015), Bharat Ane Nenu(2018), Maharshi (2019), Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022).
