New Delhi: Kriti Sanon has drawn attention after it was revealed in a media report that she promoted certain trading platforms during the eighth season of the chat show 'Koffee With Karan'. The actor has, however, refuted the accusations. Taking to Instagram Stories, Kriti called such articles 'completely fake and false'. The actor added that she has filed a lawsuit.


“There have been several articles reporting false news about me promoting some trading platforms at Koffee with Karan. These articles are completely fake and false and have been published with a dishonest and mala fide intent. These articles are defamatory and are false associating me with the trading platforms,” Sanon wrote.


“I have never spoken regarding any trading platform on the show. I have taken legal action against such false articles and reports and issued legal notice. I request everyone to be cautious against such false, fake and defamatory reports,” read the post.


Karan Johar's show Koffee With Karan 8 airs on Disney+ Hotstar. Janhvi Kapoor and Kriti are apparently set to appear together on the show. Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Rani Mukerji, and Kajol are the guests that have so far featured on the show.


On the work front, Kriti Sanon, who won a national award, most recently starred in 'Ganapath'. The film, directed by Vikas Bahl, features Tiger Shroff in the title role. The movie was released in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi on October 20.The actor has 'The Crew', 'Do Patti', and an untitled romantic comedy coming up next. 'The Crew' will also star Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Diljit Dosanjh.
