New Delhi: Actor Dinesh Phadnis, who portrayed Fredericks in the venerable crime drama CID, was brought to a Mumbai hospital after reportedly suffering from a heart attack. Many of the CID cast and crew visited the hospital on Saturday to check on him after learning about his health condition recently, according to a report from Iwmbuzz.com. 


According to a source who spoke to the portal, "Dinesh Phadnis has been battling for life, with ventilator support." Dinesh was in a little better situation on Saturday as opposed to his "critical state" on Friday night. Dinesh is a man in his late 50s. According to the report, the actor is presently receiving medical attention at Mumbai's Tunga Hospital.


Many people wished actor Dinesh Phadnis a quick recovery after a paparazzo published a post about his health. An Instagram user expressed hope for a quick recovery for him. "Get well soon," said the second. "Fredericks needs our prayers (folded hands emoji)," said a third person.


 






As Fredericks on CID, Dinesh gained widespread recognition and was a fixture of the programme for nearly two decades. One of the longest-running television programmes in India, CID debuted in 1998 and was led by actor Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman. For twenty years, Sony TV aired the series.


In addition to CID, Dinesh had a brief cameo in the popular television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In a few films, he has also played supporting roles. Dinesh appeared in Hindi motion pictures including Super 30 and Sarfarosh.


Dinesh frequently updates his Instagram account with photos from his personal life. The actor uses social media to capture everything from meetings with friends and co-stars to birthdays with his wife and children.
