New Delhi: Trolls are a topic that director Karan Johar has never been afraid to touch. His sexual orientation has been the subject of much speculation about his private life, and the actor has taken a lot of heat for it. One of the trolls recently urged Karan to bring a 'bahu' home, which seemed to irritate the director. Karan responded with a massive Instagram story, explaining the dynamics of his family and using the platform to air his grievances.

In a recent rant, filmmaker Karan Johar slammed a troll for suggesting he "bring home a bahu (daughter-in-law)." Taking to his social media account, the filmmaker discussed the "offensive comment" in detail.

Karan posted a screen capture of a social media remark that he had received. He wrote, “Of all the crazy trolls, the abuse and judgment I get about my life choices and my way of being I find comments like this offensive.”

He began by teaching the troll that a girl is more than just a "time pass" for her in-laws'. He wrote, Firstly no “bahu” should be a time pass for anyone’s mother … a bahu is a label which comes with ridiculous regressive baggage… she is an individual in her own right and can pass her time how she likes personally and professionally.”

Karan concluded, "Also, to everyone, I would like to add, my mother co-parents my children with me and doesn't need any 'time pass'. Her life is complete by the love we receive from her and we do our best to give it back. And bringing in a 'bahu' is not an option to whoever is concerned about my relationship status! If I were to have a partner, I would do so to fill my void, not anyone else's."
