New Delhi: Madhuri Dixit has been a household name in Indian films for a long time due to her renowned acting abilities, beautiful demeanour, and graceful dancing talent. The actress was recently the centre of attention as rumours circulated that she may enter politics. The actress has now responded to the same.

Madhuri Dixit is reportedly thinking about running for the Lok Sabha in the 2024 elections, according to reports that came out last month.

It has been stated that she has been in touch with major BJP figures, such as Ashish Shelar and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and is contemplating running for election from the Northwest Mumbai constituency. That being said, Madhuri Dixit has categorically denied any involvement in politics, claiming that she has "no interest" in the field.

Recently, Madhuri Dixit and Dr. Sriram Nene discussed their ambitions in an interview with Zee 24 Taas. “No, not at all, I have no interest in politics,” the ‘Maja Ma’ actress said in response to rumours that she had entered the political arena.

Madhuri added, “Every time there is an election, these rumours are spread about me. But no, I’m not interested.”

Dr. Nene, the actress's husband, offered his political perspective, saying, “We support everyone, we are impartial. But if someone does good work, he should be supported.”

Notably, rumours regarding Dixit's potential political debut began to circulate following Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Mumbai for Ganesh Utsav this year. The actress addressed the political speculation by saying, "I'm aware of the discussions regarding my potential entry into politics. However, these are merely rumors. I have no intention of contesting elections under any political party. Please refrain from spreading baseless speculations."
