New Delhi: Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has taken to social media once again to express his thoughts. This time, he talked about how Bollywood movies mindlessly following the trend. In a cryptic Instagram story shared on Thursday, Karan called out the industry for its lack of originality.

In his post, Karan Johar highlighted the tendency of Bollywood to replicate successful formulas, whether it's action-packed blockbusters or romantic sagas, without considering the need for innovation. He wrote, "Bada scale chahiye toh wo banaao. Action chali. Action banaao! Love story chali toh love story banaao! Chick-flick hit hui toh wahan jaao! Mausam har hafte badalta hail conviction har hafte marta hai! Box office hai bhaiya, Instagram reel nahi 30 second ki trending mein reh jaaoge wahin ke wahin! (If you need a bigger scale then make it. Did action work? Create action! Love story is going on so make a love story. Chick-flick is a hit so go there. The weather has changed a lot and the conviction has been killed a lot! This is Box office brother, not Instagram reel. You will end up in the 30 seconds trending).”

Karan’s candid insights serve as a reminder of the importance of creativity and originality in filmmaking.

The filmmaker's cryptic post prompted actor Anil Kapoor to reshare Johar's post, applauding his perspective with the comment, "Epic! Best Karan Johar. I agree."
