New Delhi: Bollywood actor Kajol has taken a break from social media. On Friday, she archived all her pictures from Instagram. Archiving the pictures means she has temporarily hidden her pictures.

She just has one post, which reads: "Facing one of the toughest trials of my life." She wrote in the caption: "Taking a break from social media."

It is not known why she is taking a break, however, fans claim that this is a promotional strategy for her upcoming project, 'The Good Wife - Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka'.

However, many even showed support to the actress.

"Sending you all my love. Take your time. We will be here," said one.

Another wrote: "Waiting for your comeback."

One professed love and said: "We love you."

A user called it "You are my best motivation."

On the work front
Kajol will next be seen in ‘Lust Stories 2' and will make her web series debut with the Indian adaptation of the popular American legal TV drama 'The Good Wife' titled 'The Good Wife - Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka'. Kajol will be playing a lawyer in the film.

The series will be directed by director Suparn S Varma whose credits include 'The Family Man' season 2 starring Manoj Bajpayee.

Suparn said that many changes have been made to 'The Good Wife', the original CBS series starring Julianna Margulies, to suit the cultural landscape of India.

"Adaptations are very different because the first season of 'The Good Wife' (original show) had 23 episodes. Our first season is eight episodes long. Firstly, the structure of storytelling changes (in adaptations). Secondly, that show was made at a different time.

"Characters have changed, cases are different since their show was based on the jury system that doesn't exist in India. There are certain characters whose tracks you can't tell today, for example, office romances. So, you have to do a different layering," Varma was quoted as saying by PTI.

Kajol's debut web series will stream on Disney+ Hotstar in July.
