New Delhi: Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have come to terms with their disagreements in relation to their two daughters. After their divorce in September after four years of marriage, the couple announced on Tuesday that they would share custody of their children equally between the US and the UK until the beginning of 2024.

“After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents,” Jonas and Turner said in a statement to NBC News on October 10.

According to court records obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, a temporary agreement order has been issued concerning the couple's two children' custody. "Delphine’ (15 months) and ‘Willa’ (3), for the next few weeks after they had a successful mediation session from October 4 to October 7," it read.

Moreover, the order is effective until January 7. The development of the parties' mediation must be reported in a letter by December 23.

The girls will reportedly spend time with Sophie Turner from November 2 to November 22, and then they will spend Thanksgiving with Jonas during their time with him from November 22 to December 16. Then, from December 16 through January 7, 2024, they will spend Christmas and New Year's with Turner.

More than a week ago, Sophie Turner sued Jonas for allegedly denying her of custody of their children during their highly publicised divorce, and this latest development on Tuesday comes as an outcome. Turner claims that even though the kids were supposed to come back to her on September 20 so they could fly to England, Jonas took their daughters' passports and wouldn't allow them to leave for their own country.

The International Child Abduction Remedies Act and the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, both of which offer assistance to children who have been abducted from a parent abroad, are the focus of Turner's appeal, which was submitted on September 21.
