New Delhi: On April 14, two men fired outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s house at the Galaxy Apartment in Bandra before fleeing the spot on a motorbike. Four people have been arrested in this connection and police have also recovered weapons and cartridges from Gujarat. Recently Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan was asked whether the actor and his family will move out of the Galaxy Apartment following the ‘death threats’.

Here's what Arbaaz Khan said
In a conversation with Zoom, Arbaaz said, "Do you think it (threats) will get dissipated? Like tomorrow, if you move the location, you think if there is an impending threat, it’ll go away. If that were the case, yes, one would do that. But the reality is that it’s not going away. So, do you keep moving and doing that, or just take precautions? The thing is that my father has lived in that place for years. Salman has lived there for years. That's his home. Nobody is saying vacate this place and we will let you go. That is not the case. So, if that was the case, he would have let go. Maybe he would have reconsidered."

"Trying to live life as normal as possible"
Arbaaz stressed the importance of maintaining a sense of normalcy despite security concerns. He told Zoom, "So, the only thing that one can do is take precaution at the highest level, personally you can take or what the government can provide for you in his case and try to live your life as normal as possible. And I mean by living in constant threat or fear, what will happen? I won’t be able to get out of the house."

On April 14, at approximately 5 am, two men on a motorcycle fired four rounds outside Galaxy Apartment before swiftly fleeing the scene. CCTV footage captured the suspects wearing caps and carrying backpacks during the incident.

Arbaaz Khan's statement after firing
After the incident, Arbaaz issued a statement that read, “The recent firing by two unidentified person on a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place. Unfortunately, some people claiming to be close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson have been making loose statements to the media saying it's all a publicity stunt and the family remains unaffected which is not true and these views should not be taken seriously."

He further continued in his statement, "No member of the Salim Khan family has made any statement regarding this incident to the media. At this time the family is helping and cooperating with the police in the investigation of this untoward incident. We have faith in the Mumbai Police and we have been assured they will do everything in their capacity to protect and secure our family. Thank you everyone for your love and support."
