New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan, who exchanged vows and registered her marriage with Nupur Shikhare on January 3 in Mumbai, will tie the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony on January 10 in Udaipur. A detailed itinerary of the three-day-long celebration at the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur is now out. 


Ira took to her Instagram stories and shared the schedule of her wedding celebrations. The celebrations will start with a welcome dinner tonight, followed by mehendi on January 8. 




The Mehendi ceremony will take place in the Amphitheater Lawn starting at 11:30 AM, where local Rajasthani women will apply Mehendi to the bride and her relatives. 


A pajama party will also be held in the Grand Ballroom on January 8th, starting at 10:00 PM. 


On January 9, at 7:00 PM, a music ceremony will be organized in the Mevad Lawn of the hotel, where Aamir Khan and family members will also perform. 


On January 10, the couple will get married in Marathi customs and traditions. The wedding ceremony will commence at 4:00 PM in the Mayur Bagh of the hotel followed by a dinner service for guests in the Mayur Bagh. 


The wedding will feature a blend of Gujarati, Rajasthani, Marathi, and Punjabi cuisines. 


All 176 rooms of the hotel have been booked for the family members and guests of the bride and groom. The wedding festivities will be attended by close relatives and close friends. 


On January 13, a grand reception party will be held in the Bandra-Kurla Complex area of Mumbai, where prominent personalities from the film industry will be present. 


Meanwhile, a video of Aamir and his ex-wife Kiran Rao dancing to the Rajasthani folk music in Udaipur is doing the rounds on the internet. While Aamir is seen in a white and blue kurta and black balloon pants, Kiran wears a grey top and black cargo pants.   






Nupur Shikhare proposed to Ira in 2022 and is the official fitness trainer of Ira and Aamir.
