New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan is all set to marry Nupur Shikhare in a traditional ceremony in Udaipur after signing the marriage registration document in the presence of friends and family at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai on January 3.  The wedding festivities kickstarted on Sunday with Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao dancing to Rajasthani folk music.

A video of the actor and his ex-wife dancing to the Rajasthani folk music is doing the rounds on the internet. While Aamir is seen in a white and blue kurta and black balloon pants, Kiran wears a grey top and black cargo pants.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Aamir’s youngest son Azad will be performing a piano piece at the wedding. The menu will include Gujarati and Maharashtrian cuisines

“The wedding festivities of Ira and Nupur will take place from January 7 to 10 and Aamir, the doting father, is looking after the arrangement in great detail. The menu will include Gujarati and Maharashtrian cuisines. Earlier, during the function at Mumbai, Aamir had flown down a chef from Amritsar for the Amritsari kulchas and a street food curator from Uttar Pradesh,” IANS quoted its source as saying.

All 176 rooms of the hotel have been booked for the family members and guests of the bride and groom. The wedding festivities will be a family affair and will see relatives attending the functions.

The couple will then host a reception at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on January 13.

The who’s who of Bollywood including superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are expected to attend the reception.

For her wedding in Mumbai on January 3, Ira wore an ensemble with harem pants, blouse, and dupatta with jewellery, while Nupur, who jogged 8km to reach the wedding venue, was seen in a black vest and white shorts.

Aamir, Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao, and others were present at the ceremony.

Nupur Shikhare proposed to Ira in 2022 and is the official fitness trainer of Ira and Aamir. The pre-wedding festivities started with a Haldi ceremony.
