New Delhi: Aditi Rao Hydari's mesmerising performance in ‘Saiyaan Hatto Jao’, a song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, has made her the centre of attention ever since. Many of her admirers and famous people have started a social media trend by imitating her graceful Gaja Gamini walk from the song. Now, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ co-stars Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Shrivastava have gotten in on the trend.
In a video shared by Netflix India on May 5th, Sparsh Shrivastava and Pratibha Ranta can be seen doing their version of the iconic Gaja Gamini walk. Their unique take on the walk, in which they carried sunflowers, wowed the audience.
"Hatto jao, we're looking for Sajni," Netflix India captioned for the Heeramandi/Laapataa Ladies crossover video.
Their reenactment was met with enthusiastic approval by Aditi Rao Hydari, who plays the part of Bibbojaan, the eldest daughter of Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala), in the film ‘Heeramandi’. With her remark "Bibbojaan certified. Nailed it guys," Aditi left her mark on Netflix India's Instagram post.
Aditi Rao Hydari On Her Viral ‘Gaja Gamini’ Walk
Last month, Aditi discussed the inspiration for the famous walk in an interview with Zoom TV. She shared how Sanjay Leela Bhansali planned the picture with painstaking attention to detail. He wanted the dupatta to fall on a certain rhythm, the head to turn, and the 'chann' (sound of the ghungroo) to arrive perfectly on beat, thus it was all his idea and creativity'.
Fans are enthralled by Heeramandi's brilliant storyline and brilliant performances, and the show has already been renewed for a second season.
