Actor Govinda was discharged from a Mumbai hospital on Friday morning after being admitted due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound earlier this week. The incident raised concerns, but Govinda greeted fans and paparazzi with a sweet smile as he left the hospital.

Govinda left the hospital accompanied by his wife Sunita and daughter Tina Ahuja. Photos and videos of the actor in a wheelchair were shared on social media. Govinda greeted the paparazzi with flying kisses and thanked fans for their well-wishes during his recovery.






Dr Ramesh Agarwal of Criticare Asia Hospital, who treated him, told ANI, "He (Govinda) has been asked to rest for 3-4 weeks now, his exercises, physiotherapy are continuing. He is fine. We are discharging him. He will rest at home."

Govinda's wife give health update


Earlier, Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, visited him at Criticare Hospital in Mumbai and shared a positive update with fans. She mentioned that she had been praying for him, and assured everyone that he would be discharged soon.


Speaking with media, Sunita said, "Sir ek dum first class hain (He is well now). He will get discharged tomorrow at noon”.


She added, “I would like to thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. It is because of your good wishes that he got better quickly. I am so happy that we got the news of his discharge on the first day of Navaratri”.


Govinda's gunshot incident


Govinda was transferred to a general ward on Wednesday, after an accidental leg injury caused by his pistol, which went off unexpectedly. The 60-year-old actor underwent surgery on Tuesday. His daughter, Tina Ahuja, provided a health update to reporters, expressing the family’s hope for his swift discharge from the hospital .
