Recently, Dosanjh sat down for an interaction with Raj Shamani and spoke about his journey, fame, GOAT and more.

When Diljit was asked about the kind of child he was, Dosanjh shared that he was a simple and dedicated child who knew he wanted to be something in his life. Crediting his mother and the values instilled in him about the importance of money, Dosanjh shared, "Meri mummy ke dimag mein voh bat thi ke beta tumhe kam karna hai. Ek achi life honi chahiye. Ghar mein kuch theek thak se halaat the toh unke dimag mein tha ki bache reh na jaye kahi, yahi pe matlab. To voh mujhe humesha bolti thi, ki beta humari koi business nahi hai hai side pe, teri dad sirf sarkari job karte hai to kya karega life mein. Padai karo, dhyan do, kam karna hai, zindagi mein zaruri hai. "( My mother always had this in mind that we should have a better life. Our financial situation was so-so, so she always had this in mind that my kids are not left behind. She would say to me that your father is in the government service, there is no business at the side, so education and work are very important. )

To voh mere dimag mein beth gyi, ki paise boht zaruri cheez hai. paise ke bina life kuch nahi hai, ye baat mere dimag mein bachpan se beth gi.Yahi hai zindagi, 2020 tak main iske peeche bhagta raha, paise ke peeche, maine din raat kam kia hai. Huamre pas koi bhi show aya, maine kabhi wapis nahi moda, shadi tak...Same day humne Amritsar bhi show lagaya hai aur same day Karnal bhi."( So, this thing about money got stuck in my mind that life is all about making money. Until 2020, I was only about making money. I worked day and night for it. We never refused a show, a marriage. We have performed in Amritsar and Karnal on the same day)

Adding that his album came out when he was 18 and post that the number of shows, the hardwork with shows and everything he had done was to attain money until the pandemic happened in 2020.

Saying that "sirf paisa banana zindagi ka maqsad nahi hai,( only making money is not the sole purpose of life)" Dosanjh shared that he came to the realisation after 2020 happened. The 'Lemonde' singer added that making money is not the purpose of life, atleast that much he has realised.
