Dilip Kumar's Pali Hill Bungalow To Be Demolished & Made Into A Luxurious Residential Plot With A Museum In His Memory

New Delhi: Dilip Kumar is considered to be one of Indian cinema's best actors. The legendary Bollywood actor who has left a legacy of performances unmatched will also be creating another legacy in the form of his bungalow being transformed to a museum to celebrate the actor's eventful life and achievements. Dilip Kumar's Pali Hill bungalow will be demolished and a luxurious residential project will develop on the site which will have the museum on the ground floor.

The plot spans across a half-acre land parcel in Mumbai and is one the prime spots of the city. As per an Indian Express report, the project will cover 1.75 lakh square feet of total construction area, and will be distributed across 11 floors.

Dilip Kumar's family has partnered with realty developer Ashar Group for the luxurious project. The project will be completed by 2027 and reportedly generate a whopping revenue of Rs. 900 crores.

Dilip Kumar's bungalow has been in the headlines for many years now. The property has had its fair share of legal disputes over the years. Mr Kumar's family had earlier accused a real estate firm of forging documents with the intention of taking over the property. However, after a long court battle, in 2017 Sairu Banu shared the news of getting back the keys of their property.

As per a Housing.com report, Dilip Kumar bought the Pali Hill property on September 25, 1954 from Kamruddin Latfi for Rs. 1.4 lakhs. The property was the place where Dilip Kumar and Sair Banu spent a major part of their life. At the time of the writing of the report o 2021, the market price of Dilip Kumar's Pali Hill bungalow was Rs. 350 crores.

The real estate firm Ashar, which will be heading the residential and museum project at Dilip Kumar's bungalow site, has also clarified that all legal disputes related to the property have been settled now.
