Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, set to perform in Mumbai on Thursday, made it clear that nothing and no one can stop his shows from happening.
Diljit Dosanjh reacts to 'conspiracy theory'
On Wednesday, the singer-actor shared a video on Instagram showing him singing and dancing inside a private jet, enjoying the high life with his friends. The upbeat clip captured their excitement as they traveled together. Diljit captioned the video, “Tomorrow Mumbai. Mahalakshmi Race Course. ‘Shut down shut down’, you just see. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24.”
Recently, Diljit addressed a controversy involving the spelling of Punjab, which some alleged was part of a conspiracy. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the actor-singer dismissed the claims with a detailed note.
He wrote, “Punjabi. If I mistakenly didn’t put up India’s flag after writing ‘Panjab’ in a tweet, it becomes a conspiracy. In a tweet from Bengaluru, I forgot to mention the Indian flag after writing ‘Panjab,’ and it became a big issue. If you write ‘Panjab’ instead of ‘Punjab,’ it still means ‘Punjab.’ Panj Aab – 5 Rivers. Bravo to those creating conspiracies over an English word.”
Diljit added, “You know what? I will write ‘Panjab.’ How many times do we have to prove our love for India? Find something new instead of creating baseless conspiracies. #Vehley.”
Previously, Diljit had spoken about the lack of proper infrastructure for live shows in India. In viral clips circulating on social media, he expressed his disappointment over the situation.
He said, “Here, we don’t have proper infrastructure for live shows. It’s a huge source of revenue and creates jobs for many. I’ll try to have the stage set in the center next time so that the audience can gather around it. Until then, I won’t organize shows in India.”
