Diljit Dosanjh and Karan Aujla are two global icons who are known in their own way for their distinct career graphs and discography that resonates with fans across the world. As Diljit Dosanjh and Karan Aujla continue their respective tours in India and sell out stadiums and venues for their concerts, many fans have been waiting and hoping that the two artists come together for a collaboration.

While some hope for this big collaboration to happen, not many know that Diljit Dosanjh and Karan Aujla have indirectly worked with each other. In fact, Dosanjh reached out to Karan Aujla in 2020 when he wanted help with an introduction to his titular song ‘GOAT’ for the album of the same name.

Diljit* Aujla collab

In an podcast interaction with Raj Shamani, Diljit had shared how the collaboration happened between the two in the first place. Diljit Dosanjh recalled how G Sidhu had written an intro for him but he did not have songs in the album that matched the intro of the song. "Mere gaane sare sweet sweet, mithe mithe, Kinni Kinni vibe and all," ( All my songs had that sweet and melodious vibe), further adding that none of the songs matched the intro written by G Sidhu.

Diljit Dosanjh then said his intro then matched a verse which Karan Aujla wrote for a beat Dosanjh wanted to make a song with.

The ‘Ikk Kudi’ singer added that he then spoke to Karan Aujla who completed the whole song.

Karan Aujla also spoke about the song during his appearance at ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ and added that while he wrote the song in just 10 minutes, he sent the song after two hours, because he wanted him to feel this took time and was serious.

"I had written the song in 10 minutes, but because of this very reason, I sent it to him after a couple of hours. I wanted him to think that I was serious,” Aujla had then said on the show.

Meanwhile, both Karan Aujla and Diljit Dosanjh are on tour in India.
