(2015): Banerjee's adaptation of the iconic fictional detective character Byomkesh Bakshi received praise for its atmospheric storytelling, meticulous period detailing, and stellar performances. Based on the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi created by Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, the film features Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi, and Swastika Mukherjee in prominent roles. Released on April 3, 2015, the film received positive reviews from critics for its portrayal of the iconic detective character. However, despite critical acclaim, it failed to make a mark at the box office, resulting in commercial disappointment.
