New Delhi: Stand-up comedian of Indian origin, Neel Nanda was a regular on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and ‘Adam Devine's House Party.’ Tragically, Neel Nanda passed away not long after his 32nd birthday party. Just before his birthday, the comedian celebrated by performing as the headliner at Toronto, Canada's Jokers Theatre and Comedy Club. During the weekend of December 15th and 16th, he advertised his "birthday" performance on Instagram.

Atlanta native Neel Nanda was a multi-talented artist who performed stand-up comedy, wrote, and acted. Also, he was in a tonne of comedic programmes on networks like Viceland, Comedy Central, MTV, Hulu, and more. Unnecessary Evil, his stand-up show at the Westside Comedy Theatre, was also named one of the top ten by LA Weekly.

Greg Weiss, Nanda's longtime manager, confirmed the news to Variety, an entertainment website, describing Nanda as a "wonderful comedian and human being”. The reason for death was not specified.

Condolence comments were sent on social media by other comedians and by several comedy clubs.

Mario Adrion, a fellow comedian who shared the stage with Nanda not long ago, also sent a heartbreaking letter to his buddy. “We only met this year but he brought a lot of light and positivity into my life in the short time I got to spend with him,” Adrion posted on Instagram.

Neel's comedic career started in 2013, and he had already become a national celebrity thanks to his performances on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live.
