In an interview with The Times of India, Abdu explained that as their relationship developed, they encountered cultural differences, which led him to make this tough decision. He shared that it was a difficult choice for him, adding that he needs a “mentally strong partner” who can keep up with him, as he is “recognised as a person of determination.”
Abdu got engaged to Amira in Sharjah, UAE, in April 2024, and had shared photos from the ceremony, which was attended by their families. Reflecting on his engagement in May, Abdu had told Khaleej Times, “I cannot imagine anything more precious than this love. I cannot wait to start my new journey in life. Everyday life is not easy for me, and finding love seemed an even harder challenge as there are so many obstacles. But Allhamdulillah, I’ve found Amira, and she loves me for who and what I am.”
