New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna starrer 'Animal' has collected Rs. 500 cr at India box office. In its 17th day, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film also stars Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor and Prem Chopra. 


According to trade and analysis site Sacnilk.com. 'Animal' eanerd Rs. 337. 58 crores( Hindi: Rs. 300.81 cr, Telugu: Rs. 33.45 cr, Tamil: Rs. 2.73 cr, Kannada: Rs. 52 lakh, Malayalam: Rs. 7 lak) in one week. In the second film, the film collected Rs. 139.26 cr( Hindi: Rs. 130.73 cr, Telugu: Rs. 7.31 cr, Tamil: Rs. 1.08 cr, Kannada: Rs. 6 lakh, Malayalam: Rs. 8 lakhs).


On day 15, 'Animal' minted Rs. 8.3 cr( Hindi: Rs. 7.75 cr, Telugu: Rs. 43 lakh, Tamil: Rs. 1 lakh, Malayalam: Rs. 2 lakh). Now, on day 17th, 'Animal' has collected Rs. 14.08 cr nett in India for all languages. Since its release 'Animal' has collected Rs. 512. 02 cr in India.


At the global box office, 'Animal' has collected Rs. 800 cr within 16 days of its release, the film'a makers announced on Sunday. 


T-Series, one of the production houses that bankrolled 'Animal' also made the film's box office announcement on X. 


#Animal remains invictus at the Box Office," the banner captioned the post. The post also mentioned Rs. 817.36 cr being collected in worldwide gross collections.


'Animal' is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Cine1 Studios and Bhadrakali Pictures. 


‘Animal’ has been courting controversy ever since release. Audiences and several critics have spoken about the violence, gore and toxic masculinity that has been portrayed in the film. 


While many have appreciated Ranbir Kapoor’s performance, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been targetted for a ‘very violent and regressive’ film.


Despite all that, ‘Animal’ continues to shine at the box office.
