New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan, the iconic Bollywood star, graced the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya's Ram temple, describing the event as "a day filled with the relevance of divine spirit." The 81-year-old actor, accompanied by his son, Abhishek Bachchan, 47, attended the ceremony held on Monday in Uttar Pradesh's temple town, believed to be Lord Ram's birthplace. 


Sharing his experience on his personal blog, Bachchan posted a series of pictures capturing the temple and the newly consecrated Ram Lalla idol. In his blog post, he expressed the profound impact of the event, stating, "A day filled with the relevance of divine spirit...back from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya...immersed in the reckoning of the TEMPLE at Shri Ram's birth. Not much can be said beyond this...for faith does not possess description." 


The blog post concluded with the fervent exclamation, "Jai Shri Ram! Bol Siya Pati Ramchandra Ki Jai."  Amitabh Bachchan also shared a photo on his blog featuring the Ram Lalla idol at the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In the image, he was seen standing inside the temple, offering prayers, clad in a white kurta-pyjama with a shawl wrapped around him. The actor took to his social media account, on X, writing, “T 4899 – Bol Siya Pati Ramchandra Ki Jai." 


After offering prayers at the temple, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan had the honor of meeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath. In a gesture of respect, Amitabh greeted the politician with folded hands, engaging in a conversation before Abhishek joined them.


The grand temple inauguration was a star-studded affair, with notable personalities like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, and Kangana Ranaut in attendance. Dressed in a traditional white kurta-pajama and shawl, the father-son duo of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan added to the auspicious atmosphere at the Ram Temple on that memorable Monday.
