New Delhi: Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light did not win at the 2025 Golden Globes, despite getting two nominations. The film was up for Best Non-English Language Motion Picture and Payal was nominated for Best Director, but other films ended up winning those categories.

Unfazed by the rejection, Payal Kapadia took to Instagram to share her thoughts after the January 6 awards show in Beverly Hills, California. In a photo she shared with Thomas Hakim, Julien Graff, and Ranabir Das, who were the film's producers, she expressed her appreciation for the opportunity. In her post-event reflection, Payal Kapadia said, "We didn't win anything but had so much fun." She went on to recall the unforgettable moments from the prestigious event.
Sharing her reaction, she also thanked her stylist and designer for creating her breathtaking Golden Globes ensemble. The director sported a striking handwoven black jumpsuit with a unique loop neck design, featuring red detailing across the neckline. She accessorised her sophisticated ensemble with a neat bun.
She praised stylist Indrakshi Pattanaik and designer Payal Khandwala for helping her feel ‘confident’ in her Golden Globes appearance.
