Golden Globe Awards 2025: "The Brutalist" triumphed at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, which celebrated the finest achievements in television and film over the past year.

The film, which had garnered seven nominations, swept multiple categories, with Adrien Brody winning his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, director Brady Corbet securing the Best Director win, and the film taking home the coveted Best Motion Picture – Drama award.

On the film side, Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez led the nominations with 10 nods across various categories including acting, directing, writing, and music. The film's stars, Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña, earned acting nominations, while Audiard was recognised for directing, songwriting, and screenplay. Emilia Pérez won Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Original Song. Saldaña also won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

The thriller Conclave, centered on the election of a new pope, received six nominations and took home the award for Best Screenplay.

The Bear, last year’s major winner in the television comedy category, received the most nominations for TV shows this year with five. Jeremy Allen White won the show’s sole award for Best Actor.

Comedian Nikki Glaser, who made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo, also had the chance to win for her stand-up special Someday You’ll Die, though the award ultimately went to Ali Wong.

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards were broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, where the show will be available to rewatch starting Monday.
