New Delhi: It was a special day for Akshay Kumar, as he celebrated his 56th birthday in the spiritual heart of India, Ujjain, at the revered Mahakaleshwar temple. The versatile actor, known for his dedication to both his craft and his spiritual beliefs, made this visit even more special by seeking blessings for his upcoming project 'Mission Raniganj'. Akshay’s son Aarav was also present there. 


At Jyotirling temple of Baba Mahakaleshwar, Madhya Pradesh Akshay Kumar can be seen in a saffron dhoti. He had his hands folded to pray. His sister, nephew, and son, Aarav, joined him. Another photo shows cricketer Shikhar Dhawan attending the Aarti while dressed in a white kurta. All of them attended the Bhasma Aarti. After that, they proceeded to Shri Mahakal Lok.










Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film 'Mission Raniganj’, touted as a rescue thriller, has piqued the curiosity of movie enthusiasts. The gripping teaser launched recently showcased the actor in a never-seen-before avatar, promising a high-octane, edge-of-the-seat experience. The film is inspired by a real-life incident at “Raniganj Coalfield” and the heroic act of Late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill (played by Akshay Kumar) who led Bharat's coal mine rescue mission.


Starring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena and others, ‘Mission Raniganj’ is an ode to the resilience, determination, and valour of the human spirit and engineering minds. 


‘Mission Raniganj’ will be released in theatres on October 6th, 2023.


Akshay's most recent film was ‘OMG 2’ by Amit Rai. He played Lord Shiva's messenger in the film and received praise for his performance.
