New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has reportedly expanded his real estate portfolio in Mumbai by purchasing five office units in the upscale Andheri West area for 45 crores. This move comes two years after he acquired a lavish bungalow in Juhu for a whopping sum of Rs 47.5 crore. The office units, situated within the renowned Signature Building in Oshiwara along Veera Desai Road, cover a total area of 13,293 square feet.
According to documents obtained by CRE Matrix, a data analytics firm, three of the units are located on the 16th floor and have a built-up area of 8,405 square feet. These units, valued at Rs 30.35 crore, were registered under the name of Vishal (Ajay) Virender Devgan. The stamp duty paid for these units amounted to Rs 1.82 crore. Additionally, the remaining two units, situated on the 17th floor, span across 4,893 square feet and were purchased for a reported Rs 14.74 crore.
In a separate transaction, Ajay's wife, popular actress Kajol, has reportedly acquired an apartment in Mumbai. This residence boasts a carpet area of 2,493 square feet and includes four car parking spaces. The purchase price for Kajol's apartment is said to be Rs 16.5 crore.
These properties were officially registered under Ajay Devgn's original name, Vishal Virender Devgan, on April 19, 2023, just five days after Kajol's purchase of a house worth Rs 16.5 crore on April 13. An official confirmation from Ajay or his team regarding these acquisitions is still awaited.
On the work front
On the professional front, Ajay Devgn was last seen in the action-packed film 'Bholaa,' featuring Tabu as his co-star. Despite high expectations, the movie failed to make a mark at the box office. Ajay's upcoming projects include the highly anticipated sports drama 'Maidaan,’ which has faced several delays, as well as 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' and the third installment of the popular Singham franchise, slated for release in August of next year.
