New Delhi: Days after actor Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video went viral, a deepfake image of Katrina Kaif from her upcoming film 'Tiger 3' is doing the rounds on the internet.

The image is from the trailer of 'Tiger 3' movie in which Katrina is performing action stunts wearing a towel in a hammam. The digitally altered image shows the actor in the same pose but in a different outfit making the image explicit.

However, the deep fake image shows the same pose but with a different and altered outfit, which makes the image explicit.

The image has now been deleted.

Just a few days ago, a deepfake video of Rashmika went viral prompting her to release a statement on it.

The video showed her entering an elevator wearing. The original video was of a British-Indian influencer named Zara Patel whose face was altered with Rashmika’s face.

Taking a strong stance against the video, the actor wrote on social media: "I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly extremely scary, not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused."

"Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this. We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft," she added.

Amitabh Bachchan also took a stand for his 'Goodbye' co-star Rashmika and demanded legal action against the morphed video.

The actor then thanked Big B as she quoted his tweet. She wrote, "Thankyou for standing up for me sir, I feel safe in a country with leaders like you."
