New Delhi: The adult film industry mourns the loss of Sophia Leone, a renowned star, who was discovered dead in her residence several weeks ago. According to reports, when her family attempted to contact the 26-year-old, they found her unresponsive. The tragic news was shared by Sophia's stepfather, Mike Romero, on the fundraising platform GoFundMe, where donations are being collected for her memorial.
Confirming the heartbreaking news on GoFundMe, Sophia's stepfather, Mike Romero, expressed the family's profound sorrow. He stated, "On behalf of her mother and family, it is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news of the passing of our beloved Sophia. Sophia’s sudden death has shaken her family and friends to the core."
"Sophia was found unresponsive in her apartment on March 1st, 2024, by her family. An investigation by local police into the cause of death is still ongoing," he added.
Describing Sophia as a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, Romero highlighted her love for animals and passion for spreading joy. He concluded, "Sophia will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace."
As of Saturday afternoon, donations on behalf of Veronica Lopez had reached approximately $6,000, nearly half of the target amount.
Sophia's death news comes amid a series of tragedies in the adult entertainment industry. The industry has witnessed a surge in death in recent months, including Thaina Fields and Kagney Linn Karter. In January, Jesse Jane and her partner Brett Hasenmuller were also tragically found dead in Oklahoma.
