New Delhi: Seventeen years after working together in the iconic film ‘Taare Zameen Par’, Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary have reunited for a new advertisement for an energy drink. In this latest venture, Aamir steps into the role of Darsheel's grandfather, guiding him on an intriguing 'adventure through time.'

The ad commences with Darsheel confiding in his 'dadu' about life's challenges of not getting into the college of choice, having no girlfriend, etc, prompting the grandfather to offer him a refreshing beverage. Each sip of the drink propels Darsheel into a different era, where he encounters Aamir in various captivating avatars. Darsheel had previously unveiled Aamir's diverse looks in these avatars on his Instagram profile.

The ad was shared with the caption "Join #AamirKhan as he goes on an adventure through time with Charged by Thums Up.👍👊".

Earlier, when Darsheel Safary shared a sneak peek of the ad featuring Aamir Khan, there was speculation that the look was from Aamir’s next film ‘Sitare Zameen Par.’

About Sitare Zameen Par
Talking about his upcoming film, the actor had earlier said in a conclave, “You must have remembered my film Taare Zameen Par and the name of this film is 'Sitare Zameen Par' because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. Taare Zameen Par was an emotional film, this film will make you laugh. That film made you cry this one will entertain you. But the theme is the same that's why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme but this time the character of the special child Ishaan in that film, my character helps that character in Taare zameen par, In Sitaare Zameen Par, those 9 boys, who have their own issues they help me. It's opposite.”

About Laal Singh Chaddha's failure
Aamir Khan had taken a sabbatical from film after the debacle of his last release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in 2022. Talking about the film, Aamir had said that he made a lot of mistakes in the film.

"I gave it a lot of thought, it was a big learning for me. I remember telling Kiran once, ‘I made so many mistakes in this film on so many levels. Thank God I made these mistakes in just one film. Emotionally, I’m hurt that the film has not worked, I’ve taken time to absorb the grief and it has been a big learning for me,” he said at ABP Network's Ideas of India Summit.
