New Delhi: Barun Sobti was recently seen in the murder mystery 'Kohrra' which is streaming on Netflix. Sobti plays the character of a cop in the series along with Suvinder Vicky, and seamlessly showcases the different sides a cop has. 'Balbir' played by Vicky and 'Garundi' played by Sobti have been widely appreciated by the audience. The character of the two cops along with the dynamics of the film, made it a huge hit. The series created by Sudip Sharma and directed by Randeep Jha, premiered on Netflix on July 15, 2023, and since then it has taken the internet by storm.

In a candid interaction with ABP Live, Barun not only talked about the huge success of the film but also shared his experience of working with Suvinder Vicky.

He said, "He's a remarkable performer. What he's done in the show is remarkable. I tend to be very subtle my own self. And, people sometimes tell me, 'bohot hi subtle that tera toh, pataa hi nahi chala'. When I started doing my scenes with Suvinder Sir, I realized we were doing scenes like this. So in the scenes where they both are drinking in the fields, they were done so easily. And when we were shooting them and the first thing I thought was, 'yeh toh mere bhi baap hai subtlety mein'."

"So, I didn't know how it was going to do with anyone, but it was a huge mantle he had on his shoulders and he had his unwavering confidence and I can't tell you how happy I am for him. The other day I was going somewhere and I saw this huge hoarding for him and me. So I clicked the picture and I sent it to him because I thought, this is the first time he's on such a big hoarding in such a big show in Bombay. So, I'm feeling ecstatic for him and everyone's really happy for him. And I think that's his due. He's a phenomenal actor," he further went on to say.

Speaking about the success of the film, Barun said, "I expected it to be a big success. I told everyone, including the writer himself that it was going to be huge. But, this is a little crazy. I mean, it's really spread like wildfire and people are talking about it with so much passion. It's so heartening to see that but it's a little unprecedented. We did think it's going to be good, but it's going to be that good, we didn't know that."
