New Delhi: Bollywood’s new mommy Anushka Sharma celebrated her birthday yesterday (May 1). As the actress turned a year older, her fans and followers have been pouring in birthday wishes for the ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actress.


Anushka shared a video on her social media thanking all her fans for the wishes and love. The actress said that the wishes have made her day ‘truly special’. Anushka also has a special message as she requested everyone to come together in this fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and said that the country needs our unity at this moment. Sharma further revealed that she and Virat are doing their bit and will share the details soon.

In the video, Anushka also disclosed why she did not celebrate her birthday this year. The actress said that amid all the pain and sufferings, she did not feel right to celebrate her special day.


Anushka Sharma has not only established herself as an actress but also as a producer in the entertainment industry. she has produced web series and films like ‘NH10’, ‘Paatal Lok’, ‘Bulbbul’, ‘Pari’ and others. Her upcoming project as a producer ‘Qala’ stars Tripti Dimri and will also launch Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan into the film industry.


Anushka was last seen starring in the movie ‘Zero’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Earlier this year, the ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ actress welcomed her first child, a baby girl whom they named Vamika.
