Amitabh Bachchan Health: The condition of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is reported to be stable and the amount of cough collected in his lungs have reduced. According to ABP news sources, Bachchan is responding well to the treatment.


"The cough in his lungs has reduced and his oxygen levels have established. Medicines are being administered in a controlled manner keeping in mind his age. The condition of both Abhishek and Amitabh are stable," said sources from the Nanavati hospital.

On July 11, Saturday Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for coronavirus with mild symptoms. Both were immediately admitted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. Soon after reports came that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. Both will self-quarantine at their home in Mumbai.

After an outpouring of well-wishes from fans, the actor had also thanked them and wrote a heartfelt tweet. He wrote,

'to them that have expressed their concern, their prayers and their wishes for Abhishek Aishwarya Aaradhya and me... my unending gratitude and love,"

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sealed all four bungalows of the Bachchan's family- Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak, and Vatsa after sanitization, and 30 staff members working at the premises have been tested for COVID-19. However, their results are awaited, said the BMC. The BMC officials have put a banner outside 'Jalsa' to define it as a containment zone.

As per Vishwas Mote, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, K westward, BMC, veteran actor Jaya Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and her children Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda have tested negative.

After the repost about Bachchan family, Anupam Kher also informed fans that his mother, brother, his sister-in-law, and niece have also tested positive for the virus. While his mother has been admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben hospital the rest have self-quarantined themselves in their house.
